The Deadline to register for camps is the Wednesday prior to your session at 5pm to avoid a $10 late registration fee.

As part of the camp experience, most camps provide participants with an opportunity to cool off at Reynolds Pool each afternoon. All campers will need to come to camp with a water bottle, peanut free lunch, swim gear, towel and sunscreen. Pick up at the end of the day will be at Reynolds Pool on Bliss Road, for these camps. If it is raining, then the swim time will be eliminated and the campers will remain at the schools until 3pm.

Summer Cool Theatre Camp for Grades 4 thru 9
This camp will incorporate a variety of activities including acting, mime, theatre games, script writing, movement, voice and a final daytime performance! Theatre Camp allows a child to express themselves in many different ways and helps with their self-esteem, socialization and teamwork skills.

Baseball Camp, Ages 6 thru 14, Licensed
Our Baseball Camp emphasizes skill development. Throughout the program, each camper’s strengths and weaknesses are evaluated to ensure that skill levels rise in the appropriate areas. With fun and fitness as the operatives, kids work at fielding, throwing, hitting, pitching, catching, base running and game play. Please bring hat, glove, cleats and indoor shoes. Pick up at Reynolds Pool each afternoon.

Kids will really enjoy this camp, as they learn new skills and become better players. Instruction focuses on dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defense, teamwork, and conditioning.

Basketball Camp, Ages 10 thru15, Licensed
Improve your skills while having a great camp experience! Participants will learn the fundamental skills of basketball and provide self-help drills. Each camper will be given the tools to improve on their own. Full–court games will take place each afternoon. Campers will have the opportunity to meet new friends and have fun! Pick up at Reynolds Pool each afternoon.

Boys Lacrosse Clinic, Ages 5 thru 9
Our Skills and Drills Clinic for boys ages 5-9 will cover the basics of the game of lacrosse in a fun and energetic way. Participants will learn about proper warm-up and practice preparation. Basic skills will be covered along with game like scenarios throughout the week. Instruction will be provided by Coach Ryan Liebel and players from the LHS Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn the fastest growing game in the country. Full equipment is required and includes lacrosse helmet, shoulder and elbow pads, gloves, mouth guard, cup, stick and cleats.

Boys Lacrosse Clinic, Ages 10 thru 13
Sessions will include small team instruction with knowledgeable coaches. In the first segment, players will constantly work on the fundamentals and strategy of lacrosse. Players will learn how to think through the game, employ high percentage strategies and plan ahead. The second segment will be instructional full-field games, where players will refine their knowledge of the team concepts, how to dictate the pace of the game and how to increase success by understanding the rules of the game. Each session will be run like a high school practice. This is a regulated contact environment where sportsmanship and positive character will be encouraged routinely. Full equipment is required and includes lacrosse helmet, shoulder and elbow pads, gloves, mouth guard, cup, stick and cleats

Cheerleading Camp, Ages 4 thru 6, Licensed
Children will learn very basic cheer and dance moves, jumps and stunts along with fun, easy cheers and a short dance routine. This experience will have a camp-feel, incorporating age-appropriate games and activities with cheer skills. Children will play a lot of games and have fun and do crafts!

Cheerleading Camp, Ages 7 thru 10, Licensed
This experience will teach basic and intermediate cheer and dance moves, stunts and jumps. Participants will learn new cheers and dance steps. The primary focus will be on team building with activities and games to build those skills. This experience is appropriate for those who are new or have some experience cheerleading. Please wear loose-fitting clothing to move and jump! Pick up at Reynolds Pool Monday thru Thursday. Cheerleading presentation for parents and friends on Friday, August 23 at 2pm at Community House. – Check on time for demo with Amber.

Competition Cheerleading Camp, Ages 10 thru 14, Licensed
This experience will include intermediate and advanced cheer moves, dance moves, stunts and jumps at a slightly faster pace than the basic and intermediate experience. New cheers and dance steps will be introduced. This group will focus on stunting and tumbling along with brand new cheer routines. Team-building activities that foster the importance of teamwork are reinforced. This experience is appropriate for those who have some familiarity or experience with cheerleading and is perfect for those interested in fall cheerleading. There is no camp on Thursday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

Field Hockey Camp for Girls, Ages 10 thru 14, Licensed
Participants will improve on basic skills and knowledge of the game. The concepts of cooperation and teamwork, along with a chance to have fun, will be the main goals of the week. Girls Gymnastics Camp, Ages 7 thru13, Licensed
Girls will have the opportunity to learn gymnastics including rhythmic gymnastics with hoops and ribbons, tumbling on the mats and have the opportunity to learn routines on the balance beam, the single and uneven parallel bars and the vault. Lorrie Rousseau is LPRD’s Gymnastic Instructor during the school year and now Lorrie brings her talent and over 25 years of dance and gymnastic experience to our summer camps. This is an excellent opportunity for dancers and cheerleaders to get in shape and learn beginner through intermediate gymnastic level activities. Space is limited! Camp includes swimming Monday thru Thursday at Reynolds Pool. Pick up is at the pool. There will be a demonstration for family and friends on Friday, August 16 at 2pm at the Community House.

Our Little Ladies Lancer Lacrosse Clinic for girls, entering Grades 1-3 will cover the basics of the game of lacrosse in a fun and energetic way. Days will consist of drills to refine basic skills and scrimmage play. Group will cool off daily at Reynolds pool during the last hour of camp. Bring your stick, mouth guard, goggles (mandatory) with you to camp each day. Pick up at Reynolds Pool each afternoon. Girls Lacrosse Clinic, Grades 8 & 9, Licensed
This clinic for girls is geared toward the advanced player who has played Lacrosse before. Instruction will focus on advanced instruction in game strategy and team play. This camp is ideal for those that strive to play on the same level as area high school players. Steve Dudeck, LHS Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach and members of the Girls Lacrosse team will be instructing this clinic. .

The Pantuosco’s Pioneer Valley Soccer Camp staff is committed to helping players to build self-confidence and soccer skills through a purely educational and enjoyable atmosphere. Soccer campers will improve their fitness, skill technique and tactical decision-making abilities. Days consist of warm up and stretching, small sided games, technical and tactical training, competitive matches and cool-down activities. Participants should wear shin guards and cleats. Campers should also pack a water bottle, peanut free lunch, sneakers, bathing suit and towel.

Soccer Clinic, Ages 4 thru 6
Joe Pantuosco and his staff offer a morning camp for ages 4-6. This camp will focus on basic fundamentals of the game of soccer. Do you have a young child who loves to run, kick a ball and have a great time? This is the perfect morning camp to learn the basic skills for the game of soccer and a great way to get ready for a future full day camp program. Campers will learn skills such as kicking, passing, trapping, dribbling and shooting through individual and small group instruction. Participants should wear shin guards and cleats or sneakers. Campers should also pack a water bottle, peanut free snack and sneakers.

Tennis Camp, Ages 8 thru 12, Licensed
Peter Bradshaw and his staff will focus on developing competitive skills, game strategy and fitness techniques to make the game of tennis “fun”. This program is geared toward youth who have played some tennis previously or who have taken lessons. Each morning, participants should bring a water bottle, sunscreen, swim suit and peanut free lunch with an extra morning snack with them. The day’s activities will culminate with a tennis match each afternoon before walking over to the pool. Tennis Camp includes an hour of swimming at the end of the day. Pick up is at Reynolds Pool each afternoon.

Volleyball Camp, Grades 5 thru 9, Licensed
Join LHS Varsity Volleyball Coach George Mulry and his players at this high energy, skill packed camp. Players will learn the fundamentals and techniques that make the LHS program so successful. Drills and play will focus on the basic skills of volleyball including serving, passing, hitting, setting, blocking, serve-receive and defense. Wing T Camp, Grades 7 thru 9
The purpose of this camp is to provide quality instruction for high school players at an affordable price and to provide an opportunity for players and teams to develop good Wing T skills. Learn from the Longmeadow High School coaching staff with emphasis on individual Wing T skills and techniques. Coaches will help to prepare for the 2013 season and learn 7 on 7 pass scrimmages. Coach St. George began teaching in the Longmeadow public Schools in fall of 1986. He was a physical education teacher at Wolf Swamp Road School for 15 years before moving to the high school in 2001 where he is still teaching physical education.
Coach St. George has been coaching football at Longmeadow High School beginning in 1987. He was a varsity assistant for 16 years serving as defensive coordinator 11 years.

U.S Sports Institute “Multi Sport” for Ages 7 thru 14, Licensed
Experience over 15 different sports from around the world with the U.S. Sports Institute. Sports introduced include, but are not limited to: Bocce, Flag Football, Rugby, Cricket, Handball, Pillow Polo, Parachute Games and many more! All activities will take place in an atmosphere which promotes good sportsmanship, teamwork and most of all, fun. Campers will receive technical instruction in each sport then experience the sport in a realistic game situation. Campers will receive a t-shirt and certificate. Full day program includes an hour of swimming at Reynolds Pool at Bliss Park.

U.S. Sports Institute “Little Squirts Program” for Ages 3 thru 6
Our very popular Multi-Sport Camp for ages 3-6 is a great way to introduce children to a variety of sports including soccer, t-ball, lacrosse, basketball and hockey all taking place in a safe structured environment to ensure learning. Activities are designed to evoke a child’s imagination in which they can find Nemo, send Shrek into a spin or capture Jellyfish with Sponge Bob Square Pants.
