Longmeadow Police Logs, Sept. 23-29, 2019

Monday, Sept. 23

12:33 a.m.: A caller reported his son was lost in the area. His phone last pinged in the area of Dwight Road and Williams Street before it died. He was described as a 26-year-old white male, 190 to 200 pounds, with brown hair. Police were unable to locate the man.

6:21 p.m.: A caller reported children playing in the construction area on Maple Road. The children were gone upon an officer’s arrival.

Tuesday, Sept. 24

8:34 a.m.: A caller on South Avenue reported a dog is left outside every day while the owner is away. An officer was able to let the dog inside the home where there was food and water and contacted the dog officer.

9:45 a.m.: A caller on Longfellow Drive reported their vehicle was entered the night prior.

5:57 p.m.: A caller reported missing jewelry at Tabor Crossing.

Wednesday, Sept. 25

7:47 p.m.: Police investigated reports of two customers in a store on Williams Street engaging in possible fraud to open accounts.

11:20 p.m.: A caller reported hearing the sound of yelling on Hillcrest Ave. Police found a mother and daughter were having an argument.

Thursday, Sept. 26

1:51 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Maple Road. A party reported a parked vehicle was hit.

6:10 p.m.: A resident of Field Road reported being blackmailed through Tinder.

Friday, Sept. 27

8:12 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Dwight Road. East Longmeadow Police Department called Longmeadow police to report the two-car crash.

9:38 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Bliss Road.

11:33 a.m.: A hit and run motor vehicle crash was reported near Wolf Swamp Road and Frank Smith Road.

2:12 p.m.: Police assisted with attempts to locate a student who left school. The party showed up as the school while officers were attempting to locate him.

2:45 p.m.: An employee on Williams Street reported receiving harassing phone calls from a party related to a previous incident.

5:51 p.m.: A caller reported an erratic operator stopped to stare at a group of teen girls and then pulled into a parking lot on Williams Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

11:36 p.m.: A caller reported someone was in their residence on Twin Hills Drive and jewelry was missing.

Saturday, Sept. 28

4:02 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred in a parking lot on Shaker Road.

8:07 p.m.: An officer checked on a vehicle on Twin Hills Drive with its dome light on. The officer checked with the homeowner who confirmed the vehicle had been broken into. A second vehicle with a dome light on was found on Green Hill Road. Nothing was taken.

Sunday, Sept. 29

9:47 p.m.: A caller reported their son heard a knock on their den window on Colony Acres Road and requested additional patrols due to past breaking and entering. An officer checked the area and found no one.
