Longmeadow Police Logs, Oct. 14-27, 2019

Editor’s Note: Last week, police logs were not made available by the Longmeadow Police Department as of press time. This week, in the interest of ensuring public information reaches the community, the Longmeadow News published the past two weeks’ police logs. The information in the Longmeadow Police Log is compiled from logs provided by the Longmeadow Police Department, which are open to the public. Anyone charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. It is not the policy of the Longmeadow News to keep any name out of this log. The Longmeadow News does not generally publish court dispositions.

Monday, Oct. 14

9:03 a.m.: Police received a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a deer on Converse Street. The vehicle was no longer at the scene.

10:12 a.m.: A caller reported a male yelling at traffic near Longmeadow Street and Nevins Avenue. Officers made contact with the man who is known to the department and found he was not yelling at vehicles but talking to himself. He walked into Springfield.

1:53 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious male who approached his 11-year-old daughter on Ashford Road. Police documented the incident.

1:57 p.m.: A party walked into the Police Department to report their leaf blower was stolen from their garage on Williams Court.

Tuesday, Oct. 15

2:25 p.m.: A school bus was involved in a crash near Dwight Road and Williams Street.

3:34 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Williams Street and Willow Brook Road.

6:42 p.m.: A party on Pleasantview Avenue reported a bicycle was stolen.

Wednesday, Oct. 16

8:27 a.m.: Police received a report of vandalism on Williams Court.

10:01 a.m.: Police investigated reports of fraud with SSID checks at Tabor Crossing.

11:56 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Dwight Road and Williams Street.

2:03 p.m.: A party reported a male refused to leave a location on Williams Street after being asked. The male was reportedly bothering people for political ballots. An officer spoke to the manager and the male, who was advised of the complaint but was within his rights to be at the location.

4:02 p.m.: A caller reported online harassment.

4:56 p.m.: Police investigated a report of a past hit and run.

5:22 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Dwight Road and Converse Street.

Thursday, Oct. 17

7:37 a.m.: A caller reported a road rage incident on Bliss Road.

8:34 a.m.: Police investigated a past shoplifting incident on Bliss Road.

9:24 a.m.: A party reported property destruction by a resident on Ellington Road.

3:07 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Longmeadow Street and Birnie Road.

3:21 p.m.: A caller reported three boys on bikes tipped over a portable toilet on Cambridge Circle. An officer located the parties who admitted to the complaint and put it back up.

3:39 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Converse Street and Redfern Drive.

Friday, Oct. 18

8:34 a.m.: A child reportedly hit his vehicle while riding a bike on Norway Street.

2:59 p.m.: A party reported a white male wearing a flannel shirt with headphones and sunglasses threatened to kill him while he was walking by near Bliss Road and Blueberry Hill Road. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anyone.

9:25 p.m.: Police responded to a breaking and entering at a residence on Primrose Drive. The department’s K-9 was deployed for a track from the back door.

Saturday, Oct. 19

10:52 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Williams Street and Redfern Drive.

6:17 p.m.: A caller reported kids throwing glass bottles in a parking lot on Bliss Road.

10:09 p.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop near Converse Street and Porter Lake Drive. Robert S. Prebor, 56, of 121 South Park Ave., Longmeadow, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and speeding in violation of special regulation.

Sunday, Oct. 20

12:38 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Shaker Road.

4:43 p.m.: A caller reported their parents’ house on Twin Hills Drive was broken into. The back door was damaged and jewelry was missing.

Monday, Oct. 21

6:41 a.m.: A caller reported their vehicles on Primrose Drive were broken into overnight.

6:49 a.m.: A caller reported their vehicles on Williams Street were broken into overnight.

7:24 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash involving a car and a deer occurred near Maple Road and Maple Terrace.

8:14 a.m.: A caller reported their vehicle on Wilkin Drive was entered overnight.

9:03 a.m.: A caller reported their vehicle on Viscount Road was entered overnight.

10:17 a.m.: A caller reported their vehicles on Ridge Road was entered overnight.

10:20 a.m.: A caller reported their vehicle on Captain Road was entered overnight. No items were taken.

10:43 a.m.: A caller reported their vehicle on Viscount Road was entered.

2:28 p.m. A motor vehicle crash occurred on Exeter Avenue. A party reported her vehicle was hit while she was at work.

5:09 p.m.: A caller reported erratic operation of a vehicle and the operator got out and yelled at her near Field Road and Windsor Place.

Tuesday, Oct. 22

8:32 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Longmeadow Street and Farmington Avenue.

9:53 a.m.: Police received a report that an ex-employee stole from a company on Dwight Road.

4:16 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Converse Street. Injuries reported; two transported to the hospital.

Wednesday, Oct. 23

10:35 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Frank Smith Road.

3:58 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Bliss Road. The reporting party stated their vehicle was hit in a parking lot.

Thursday, Oct. 24

12:46 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Converse Street and Eton Road.

4:30 p.m.: Police investigated a threat on Williams Street.

Friday, Oct. 25

7:11 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Shaker Road. A motorist reported hitting a deer.

8:18 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash involving a car and a deer occurred on Shaker Road.

4:12 p.m.: Police investigated suspicious social media activity after a report concerning a Facebook post from an ex-employee from a party on Bliss Road.

5:09 p.m.:  A caller reported their vehicle on Wheelmeadow Drive was hit in front of the house overnight.

Saturday, Oct. 26

9:44 a.m.: A caller reported having a dispute with a neighbor on Cambridge Circle.

Sunday, Oct. 27

1:26 a.m.: Longmeadow Police received a BOLO out of East Longmeadow for a stolen red Ford F150.

4:22 p.m.: Police investigated reported fraud on Barrington Road.

4:27 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Converse Street and Dickinson Street.

5:03 p.m.: A caller reported a past accident that occurred near Longmeadow Street and Bliss Road.

5:10 p.m.: An officer was flagged down for a hit and run motor vehicle crash near Forest Glen Road and Longmeadow Street. Yasira M. Delarosa, 38, of 68 Appleton St., Springfield, was arrested and charged on a warrant from another jurisdiction.
