Longmeadow Police Logs, Jan. 6-12, 2020

Monday, Jan. 6

2:31 p.m.: A caller stated a red truck struck their car near Knollwood Drive and Wolf Swamp Road and left the scene after the driver denied hitting the vehicle.

Tuesday, Jan. 7

1:40 a.m.: A caller reported their garage and motor vehicle on Pleasantview Avenue were broken into and a bicycle was stolen.

9:27 a.m.: A caller reported her husband’s car had been broken into on Pleasantview Ave.

12:40 p.m.: A reporting party stated a suspicious white female was running up and down Meadowbrook Road frantically. The reporting party added the woman screamed, swore and told him she would return to his house and kill him.

4:36 p.m.: Police received a BOLO for a white SUV with Massachusetts plates that came back to an address on Longfellow Drive.

5:41 p.m.: A caller reported a break-in to his garage and vehicle on Pleasantview Ave. The reporting party believed nothing was taken and said it likely occurred between 12 and 5 a.m.

10:04 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Lawrence Drive.

Wednesday, Jan. 8

8:34 a.m.: A caller reported a male in a black BMW followed him to his home on Longmeadow Street, took pictured outside the home and threatened him.

Thursday, Jan. 9

9:59 p.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop. A drug recognition expert from the Springfield Police Department was requested. Mark A. Vazquez, 21, of 52 Whitman St., Chicopee, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs, possession of a class B drug and a marked lanes violation.

Friday, Jan. 10

9:36 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash involving a car and a postal truck occurred near Williams Street and Redfern Drive.

1:33 p.m.: A caller reported a man was acting strangely, possibly under the influence at a store on Williams Street and was in the parking lot looking through cars. The man told officers he found a key and was looking for the vehicle it belonged to. Officers confiscated the key and returned to the store to obtain more information.

4:14 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Converse Street and Park Drive.

9:27 p.m.: A caller reported someone broke in and robbed their house on Twin Hills Road.

Saturday, Jan. 11

8:56 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Burbank Road and Converse Street

Sunday, Jan. 12

5:02 a.m.: A reporting party on Nevins Lane stated their car was broken into but nothing appeared to be missing.

8:38 a.m.: A caller on Nevins Road reported they discovered their car had been broken into the night before.

8:43 a.m.: A caller on Fenwood Road stated someone went through his truck.

9:12 a.m.: A reporting party stated he had camera footage of someone breaking into his car and would like to show an officer the footage and make a report.

11:04 a.m.: A caller reported finding a needle near Longmeadow Street and Meadow Road. The needle was located and disposed of.

3:38 p.m.: A caller reported their car was broken into on Nevins Road that morning.

4:06 p.m.: A caller on Whitmun Road reported his car was broken into. He refused to provide any information, stating he would “deal with whatever rookie” was dispatched.
