Monday, Jan. 27

2:06 p.m.: Police received a report of missing money from a resident.

5:46 p.m.: A caller reported a deer was hit on Dwight Road and was in the middle of the road. No deer was located.

7:58 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Converse Street.

Tuesday, Jan. 28

Police received a walk-in who reported a home he is flipping on Summit Avenue was broken into.

4:49 p.m.: A caller reported a car on fire in a driveway on Longview Drive. The reporting party stated they turned the car on and it started smoking and is now in flames. The Fire Department extinguished the fire.

A caller on Belleclaire Avenue reported he was gone for three weeks and came back to discover his gun was stolen out of his basement. Police ran the reporting party’s information and found no record of a license to carry. The homeowner later located the firearm and police responded to confirm.

Wednesday, Jan. 29

3:55 a.m.: Police received a BOLO from West Springfield for a white Honda sedan with a missing driver’s side mirror and front end damage. The vehicle was involved in a hit and run with a pedestrian and was last seen headed southbound on Route 5.

8:43 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Converse Street and Dwight Road.

11:52 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Converse Street.

3:30 p.m.: A caller reported a red car in their driveway on Shaker Road for about 10 minutes. The vehicle left before officers arrived.

5:51 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Williams Street and Laurel Street.

8:30 p.m.: A caller on Blueberry Hill reported a sedan had driven by her house for some time, flashing lights and honking its horn. The reporting party stated they came by again and shouted something she could not make out. The caller was advised to make a report.

Thursday, Jan. 30

A motor vehicle crash occurred on Longmeadow Street. Parties spoke and one vehicle left, but the driver of the other vehicle found hers would not start and wished to file a report.

7:30 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Longmeadow Street and Edgewood Avenue.

Friday, Jan. 31

6:34 a.m.: A caller reported his garage and car on Converse Street were broken into. Police received another larceny complaint while responding.

6:54 a.m.: A party reported a breaking and entering on Converse Street.

7:05 a.m.: A party reported a breaking and entering on Converse Street.

7:12 a.m.: Two hypodermic needles were found in the road and was disposed of.

7:42 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Grassy Gutter Road and Bliss Court.

7:53 a.m.: A caller reported his car on Blueberry Hill Road and believed keys were stolen from the vehicle.

3:37 p.m.: A caller reported a possible scam involving parties calling claiming to be from Eversource.

4:54 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Longmeadow Street and Warren Terrace. The reporting party stated their 9-year-old daughter hit her head on the side of the car. A citation was issued for a parking lane violation.

Saturday, Feb. 1

11:28 p.m.: A calling party reported three kids dancing in the road with the stereo blasting near Fairfield Terrace and Hopkins Place.

Sunday, Feb. 2

8:08 a.m.: A BOLO was released for a vehicle whose driver had dementia and no license. The party and vehicle were located.

3:52 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Emerson Road.

7:58 p.m.: Police received a BOLO out of Southwick for a party leaving Feeding Hills in a van after making suicidal statements.

9:36 p.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop near Converse Street and Knoll Road. Edgar Garcia, 53, of 88 Rainey St., Springfield, was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operation under the influence of liquor and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
