Longmeadow Police Logs, Jan. 13-19, 2020

Monday, Jan. 13

12:09 a.m.: A car struck a telephone pole on Kennedy Street. A citation was issued for a marked lanes violation.

8:47 a.m.: A caller reported her car on Barclay Street was broken into during the night. Nothing was taken.

4:27 p.m.: A caller reported her car on Barclay Street was broken into during the night. Belongings were rummaged through but nothing appeared to be missing.

5:12 p.m.: A black Chevy pickup hit a tree and backed into the neighbor’s car on South Park Place.

8:13 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Frank Smith Drive and Wolf Swamp Road.

Tuesday, Jan. 14

9:35 a.m.: A caller reported their vehicle was entered on Fairway Drive and their registration was missing.

10:01 a.m.: A reporting party stated a fake check was cashed from her account.

4:59 p.m.: Longmeadow police received a report of a stolen silver 2007 Honda Pilot out of Enfield that was last seen turning onto Williams Street. The driver was described as a male with grey hair and a beard, wearing a hoodie.

9:50 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred on Emerson Road.

Wednesday, Jan. 15

12:52 a.m.: Police assisted a disabled motor vehicle on Hopkins Place. Juleyka Rivera was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor and not having a license in her possession.

Thursday, Jan. 16

2:29 p.m.: Police received a report of road rage and assault near Williams Street and Dwight Road.

2:34 p.m.: A reporting party stated she was walking on Bel-Air Drive when she was chased by a neighbor’s dog. She reported the dog is constantly off-leash. The neighbor was advised of the town’s bylaws.

7:33 p.m.: A caller reported that when she arrived at her home on Westmoreland Ave., the sunroom glass door that is usually locked and closed was unlocked and wide open. Officers searched the house and found all was in order.

Friday, Jan. 17

9:37 a.m.: Police received a report that a red Hyundai left without paying for fuel on Longmeadow Street. A Longmeadow officer asked Springfield police to attempt to make contact with the registered owner of the vehicle.

9:19 p.m.: A caller reported he hit a poodle that ran in front of his car near Longmeadow Street and Meadowbrook Road. He reported the dog got up and wandered around and said three children approached him saying they saw the dog returned home. An officer followed up at the owner’s home with the reporting party and the dog was taken to the animal hospital.

Saturday, Jan. 18

3:16 p.m.: A car backed into a tree on Williams Street. A citation was issued for failure to use care while backing.

3:20 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Bliss Road and Williams Street.

3:53 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash occurred near Converse Street and Longmeadow Street.

Sunday, Jan. 19

10:36 a.m.: Longmeadow police received a BOLO for a Honda CVP with a broken driver’s side headlight that is connected to a larceny at Rocky’s and multiple shoplifting incidents. The driver was described as 20 to 25 years old and 5 feet, 8 inches with a dark hood who has made threats with a firearm in the past. Officers were advised to use caution.

11:30 a.m.: Longmeadow police received a BOLO for a Ford F150 with Florida plates stolen from Bradley Circle in Enfield, Connecticut.
