Longmeadow police logs, Feb. 3-9, 2020

Monday, Feb. 3

4:50 a.m.: Police located a car at the Hampton Inn in downtown Springfield with a missing female party inside. Springfield police sent a unit to assist and made contact. The female party was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

Tuesday, Feb. 4

3:46 a.m.: A caller on Longfellow Drive reported his carbon monoxide detectors were going off and continued to do so when he attempted to reset them. The Fire Department investigated and determined the detector was faulty.

8:22 p.m.: A caller reported a party was headed north on foot on Hillside Terrace dumping unknown items and holding a box. An officer spoke with the reporting party and then checked the area, stating an empty egg carton was dumped by the involved party.

8:39 p.m.: Louis J. Calabrese, 79, of 757 Shaker Road, Longmeadow, was arrested and charged in connection with a warrant (LPD charges).

Wednesday, Feb. 5

7:22 a.m.: A caller reported a coyote was running around on Pinewood Drive toward Tanglewood Drive. An officer spoke with the reporting party who stated the coyote did not appear aggressive or sick.

2:21 p.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Williams Street. Tamar Creel, 35, of 49 Enfield St., Enfield, Connecticut, was arrested and charged with failure to stop for a red lens, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a warrant from another jurisdiction.

Thursday, Feb. 6

7:32 a.m.: A caller reported a rabid raccoon had walked into their garage on Glen Brook Lane and their husband was in the car in the garage.

Friday, Feb. 7

8:56 a.m.: A caller reported they woke up and found both doors to their garage on Converse Street open. Nothing appeared to be missing.

6:56 p.m.: A caller reported a tree came down on their vehicle near Dover Road and Converse Street and glass may have been directed at a 3-year-old. After an evaluation, no obvious injuries were identified.

Saturday, Feb. 8

9:47 a.m.: A caller reported a male walking down Bliss Road kept falling and was laying down in the neighbor’s yard. Police found the party on a bicycle on Westmoreland Avenue and requested EMS.

Sunday, Feb. 9

1:14 p.m.: A caller reported her car and three others were hit by a deer as she was exiting the highway in Longmeadow. Massachusetts State Police were notified.

9:49 p.m.: Police investigated an occupied parked vehicle on Dwight Road. The party in the vehicle stated his wife and kids were at home and he did not want to go home yet. He was advised not to park in the parking lot at night.
