WESTFIELD – Everything that the Longmeadow-Westfield co-operative girls’ high school hockey has worked toward paid off in one lump sum last week.
Longmeadow profited from a 3-point effort from one of its Westfield players, Bailey Tymeson, who finished with two goals and one assist to help the Lancers topple top-ranked Shrewsbury Sunday, 4-3.
Katie Joyal (Longmeadow) and Karalyn Jones (Wilbraham) each had one goal and one assist, and Westfield natives Maddie Melletier (3 assists) and Mackenzie Pelletier (1 assist) also lent a hand for the Lancers.
Longmeadow’s Kayla Brown (Sabis) collected 28 saves.
