LONGMEADOW, MA – The Longmeadow Arts Community invites artists of all genres to participate in the 2019 Artist Village at Long Meddowe Days, May 18-19. Funded by a grant from the Longmeadow Cultural Council, the Artist Village will be a dedicated space for the exhibition, performance, and demonstration of the arts.
Writers in all genres are invited to display and read from their work. Visual artists may exhibit paintings, drawings, photography, videos, sculpture, and pottery and do demonstrations of their craft. Musicians, both singers and instrumentalists, are invited to perform. The intention of the Artist Village is to create a vibrant environment that highlights the talent in the local community and offers visitors to Longmeadow Days a unique and exciting experience.
An organizational meeting will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 at Storrs Library, and interested artists are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact Linda Cardillo at firstname.lastname@example.org or Fred Sokol at email@example.com.
